In a recent publication in the OPE Journal, CEO Marcel Grooten discusses 3D structures with integrated electronic functionalities made using inkjet printing technology. In the Blink Link project, touch sensitive wireless IoT objects for different age groups were combined in a cloud-based application. In the project DoMicro developed a foldable paper LED ball for children, made with flexible hybrid electronics on paper.
The cloud-based application consists of the LED ball for children, a bracelet for adults and a 3D avatar for seniors based on the looks of a user. With one touch, the objects light up in the sender’s colour. The coloured light signals provide a surprising way to let loved ones know ‘in a blink’ that you think of them, no matter how far apart you are.
