DoMicro BV is proud to be part of the inkjet-bioAM project, where additive manufacturing (AM) by inkjet printing for several Biomedical Applications is being explored.
Within this project, DoMicro is developing temporary tattoos containing local anesthetics for topical drug delivery through the skin. The aim is to help children with needle phobia by numbing the skin before medical procedures, making treatments less stressful.
Inkjet printing enables highly precise and personalized dosing of medication, creating opportunities for a broad range of pharmaceutical applications. Using the LP50 printer with multi-material capabilities, multiple pharmaceutical compounds can be printed simultaneously, opening new possibilities for personalized therapies.
As we move towards preparing this promising technology for market entry, a GMP-compliant manufacturing process and environment is under development. This effort is supported by the cleanroom facilities at Helmond Biotech materials Hub (HBH).
We are excited to contribute to the future of personalized medicine and innovative healthcare solutions!
Inkjet-BioAM is a project co-funded by the European Union via the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) programme. More about the programme
